Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who combines soul gospel jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. She has performed on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine refers to Denise White. While she resides in Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her music career by singing and playing piano in churches. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her education on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan It has since been remixed by numerous producers and is a staple of her live set. Her voice has also been a part of vocals to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls The stage show in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition in the course of four consecutive performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
